"Noken"
From the Dani tribe of Irian Jaya (West New Guinea),Indonesia.
Made from woven inner tree bark fibers.
This special long noken is used during wedding and funeral ceremonies for
the ritual "gift exchange" of
stones. The "Je" stones will rest upon this kind of noken
and bound with the "Jarrak" (money belt) on top.
