Collected from the Asmat on Expedition November 1995, from AMANAMKAI village, Siretj river, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.

Five ancestral human figures with body scarfications holding 2 nose ornaments ("Bipane") a headhunting symbol. Also hornbill, egret, and snake figures. Made from maggrove wood, Painted with shell, red ocher river mud and black charcoal. Carving is the same on both sides.
