KSS 923 H "Gambuh Dance Hat"
From Bali,Indonesia.
Made from leather,glass and velvet (faded).
The inside is made from the old ways of tightly woven split river reeds.
(Now the inside of this kind of dance hat is made from tightly woven rattan).
Used during a performance of the oldest Balinese dances called "Gambuh" .
The wooden head is made from hisbiscus wood and carved by "Ida Bagus Oka"
a well known carver from "Mas" village,Bali in 1994.
